2017/18 Chisholm Stronger Communities Programme Grants
The 2017/18 Round of the Stronger Communities Programme (SCP) are now open in Chisholm.

What is the Stronger Communities Grant Programme?
The Stronger Communities Programme (SCP) provides grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 to community organisations and local governments for capital projects. Applications for Round 3 of the Programme are opening soon, and expressions of interest may be submitted to the Office of Julia Banks MP, Federal Member for Chisholm by August 18, 2017.
Rounds one and two of the SCP were very successful, with a wide variety of projects funded across Australia. Successful projects throughout Chisholm included:
-$20,000 to the Surrey Junior Football Club for lighting upgrades
-$5,000 to the Eastern Gymnastics Club for a gymnastic in schools community program
-$15,000 to the Monash SES for replacement of emergency equipment
-$5,000 to the Burwood Neighbourhood House for a gas fire and chairs
In the 2017 Budget the Turnbull Government committed $22.5 million for a third round of the Stronger Communities Programme.
Funding of up to $150,000 in Chisholm will be available in 2017-18. Applicants are required to match the SCP grant in cash or in-kind on at least a dollar for dollar basis.
