Join Box Hill South Neighbourhood House for an insightful talk by Professor Franklin Rosenfeldt, a leading heart and lung transplant surgeon who will be covering topics such as heart health, cardiac surgery and organ transplant.

Neighbourhood Watch Whitehorse Community Meeting

Join Neighbourhood Watch Whitehorse for a community meeting discussing all things e-crime on Wednesday 18 July at 7.30pm at The Avenue Fellowship Centre, cnr Blackburn Rd and the Avenue, Blackburn 3130.

Emmaus St. Leo's Ladies High Tea

The Emmaus St. Leo’s Ladies High Tea is back in 2018, bigger and better than ever!

In 2018, the Animals hope to raise $15,000 from the event, with 100% of the funds raised to be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Attendees will be able to bid on fantastic items through the silent auction or win them via the raffle.

There will be entertainment provided by one of our own in Tom Buick as well as a speech by the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Attendees will be provided food and unlimited drinks all day, as we aim to help and do our part to fight the insidious disease we call Breast Cancer.

Make your way down to Bennettswood Reserve on Saturday May 12 and make a day of it, with the Animals Women’s team.

 

ANZAC Day 2018

This week we commemorate Anzac Day and we will gather together throughout Chisholm to remember those who have sacrificed so much for our Australia. Please consider joining the many local services and events being held locally and in nearby suburbs.

Sunday April 22
Waverley RSL – 161 Coleman Parade, Glen Waverley 
9.45am: Commemorative March and Ceremony with assembly and form-up for a 10am step-off from the Waverley
RSL Sub-Branch car park. Followed by a Memorial Ceremony
at the Glen Waverley Cenotaph – The Kingsway, Glen Waverley and a traditional Gunfire Breakfast at 11am.
Gold coin requested.

Wednesday 25 April
Box Hill RSL 
5.45am: Assembly at the Box Hill War Memorial (35 Nelson Rd, Box Hill – adjacent to the RSL) for a 6am dawn service. At the conclusion of the service a gunfire breakfast will be held at the Box Hill RSL next to the gardens.

Clayton RSL 
5.45am: Assembly at the Clayton Remembrance Gardens, 264 Clayton Road, for a 6am dawn service. Following the conclusion of the service a gunfire breakfast will be held at the Clayton RSL, 171 Carinish Road. Two-up games will then commence in the afternoon.

Oakleigh-Carnegie RSL
6:00am: Dawn service at the Oakleigh Cenotaph, Corner of Drummond Street and Atherton Road. Breakfast will be then be served at the Oakleigh-Carnegie RSL, 95-97 Drummond Street. Two-up games and children’s activities will then commence throughout the afternoon.

Waverley RSL
6:00am: Dawn Service at the original World War One Glen Waverley Cenotaph, adjacent to Central Reserve, Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley. Followed by a Gunfire Breakfast commencing at 7am. Gold coin requested.

St. Benedict's Primary School Twilight Fair

St. Benedict’s Primary School invites you to their Twilight Fair on the 17th of March from 3pm-8pm.

The Twilight Fair is a community driven event featuring delicious street food, rides and kids’ entertainment, cakes & sweets, second hand books, live entertainment and an all-round great atmosphere. 

 All funds raised on the day will directly benefit student learning and activities.  

Chinese New Year 2018

Australia Day 2018

In advance of Australia Day, I am hosting two mobile offices in Forest Hill and Mt Waverley on Thursday 25 January. On Australia Day, I will be attending citizenship ceremonies hosted by the City of Monash and the City of Whitehorse.
